چکیده

Abstract. We present a system for interactive explorations of extraand intracranial blood vessels. Starting with a stack of images from 3D angiography, we use virtual clips to limit the segmentation of the vessel tree to the parts the neuroradiologists are interested in. Furthermore, methods of interactive virtual endoscopy are applied in order to provide an interior view of the blood vessels. 3D Interactive Virtual Angioscopy

In this paper, we present a system for interactive explorations of extraand intracranial blood vessels. Starting with a stack of images from rotation angiography, we apply virtual clips to limit the segmentation of the vessel tree to the parts the neuroradiologists are interested in. Furthermore, methods of interactive virtual endoscopy are applied in order to provide an interior view of the bl...

Analysis of multiple factors involved in acute progressive cerebral infarction and extra- and intracranial arterial lesions

In order to identify the potential factors involved in the development of acute progressive cerebral infarction (PCI), the association between potential risk factors and extra- and intracranial arterial lesions was investigated. A total of 608 patients underwent cerebral angiography to analyze the morphological characteristics between the PCI and NPCI groups. In addition, data from numerous cas...

Results of Transcranial Doppler in Children with Sickle Cell Disease: Correlation between the Time-Averaged Mean of Maximum Velocity and Some Hematological Characteristics

Abstract Background: Transcranial Doppler ultrasonography results have not been previously studied in among Iranian sickle cell anemia patients. The present study was performed to evaluate the pattern of intracranial flow velocities among Iranian children with sickle cell anemia and the hematological parameters that can affect the time-averaged mean of maximum velocity in major intracranial...

Extra- to intracranial arterial anastomoses in therapeutic embolization: recognition and role.

Anastomoses from extra- to intracranial vessels have been shown in normal patients and, more commonly, in patients with arteriosclerotic occlusive disease, arteriovenous malformation, and postligation of the carotid artery. These channels may be of clinical importance during therapeutic embolization and probably account for two cases of complication, posterior fossa strokes that occurred after ...

Background and Aim: Intracranial physiologic calcification is not accompanied by any evidence of disease and has no demonstrable pathological cause. It is often due to calcium deposition in the blood vessels of different structures of the brain. Computed tomography (CT) is the most sensitive means of detection of for this calcification. The aim of this study was the assessment of the intracrani...
